Cafeteria Info 2025-01-21 | The cafeteria and kiosk will be closed Tuesday January 21. As of Wednesday January 22, only the cafeteria will be open with a limited menu including exam week starting at 8 am until 1 pm. |
Gr. 12s - Scholarships 2025-01-21 | The Athena Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship is dedicated to providing women+ with personal and professional development through mentorship, networking, and leadership development. Not only will the recipient exemplify the values of empowerment, integrity, and philanthropy but they will also have a proven track record of contributing to the community, clear career aspirations, and demonstrable and/or developing leadership qualities. Special Language Exams 2025-01-21 | Louis Riel School Division is once again hosting Special Language Credit Examinations on Monday, March 24 and March 25, 2025. Students, please only apply for ONE language exam, either Curriculum Based Language or Non-Curriculum Based Languages.Exam application deadline is closed on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. Applicants must pay the $65.00 fee to SRSS - please make payment by Cash or Cheque in the Guidance office in River 06. Students may earn up to 4 credits by challenging the exam. Caribou Contest Results 2025-01-20 | Last week saw our Competitive Mathematics team take part in the third round of the Caribou Contest, which is no doubt a tall order as exams are looming ahead (particularly for our grade 12s whose math exams are THIS WEEK). At the 9/10 level, six participants stepped up to the plate. Leading was Louis Liu who placed 9/83 in Manitoba, 88/497 in Canada, and 256/1439 in the world. Following was Olivia Bezpalko, Benjamin Jemson, James Baumgartner, Robert Banman, and Eli Singh. At the 11/12 level we had three competitors. In the lead was Shravya Purti who placed 9/53 in Manitoba, 54/186 in Canada, and 167/515 in the world. Following was Seth Van Dycke and Anastassiya Belikova. Congratulations to all of these competitors! Accepting this challenge and pitting your mind and skills against students from around the world is always worth celebrating. |

SRSS Art Magazine 2025-01-17 | Mr. Loeppky is looking for students to submit their original artworks to Diaspore Magazine. UM CBTm Team for Youth 2025-01-14 | The University of Manitoba is offering the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with Mindfulness (CBTm) program free of charge to Youth in Manitoba. This program is created specifically for youth and aims to teach them practical ways to boost their mental well-being. The course is online (over zoom) Feb. 20 to March 20, 2025 from 6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Sessions are approximately 90 minutes long, once a week for 5 weeks.
