JV Volleyball Spring Camp 2025-05-22 | JV Girls Volleyball Spring ID Camp: Coming Soon! Join us for some volleyball skill development and reps with JV Coach Bryan Tottle on June 2-5, 6-8pm gold gym. These sessions are not the tryouts for next year's team, but an opportunity to meet the coach and get some good reps in. Be sure to sign in to the JV Girls Volleyball Google classroom. Interzone Soccer (mhsaa) 2025-05-22 | Wednesday our boys' and girls' soccer teams hosted Northlands Parkway Collegiate of Winkler for an Interzone playdown, and the right to go to the 2025 MHSAA 4A soccer provincials. In the boys match, our Sabres were 4-1 victors over NPC on goals by Aaden Boulay (2), Justin Dik (1), Michael Martinez (1). The boys qualify! In the girls match our Sabres lost a heart breaker to NPC 0-1. NPC scoring only in the last 5 minutes of the match. |
Sports Participation fees 2025-05-21 | SRSS Athletes. If you have outstanding sport fees that need to be paid, take care of that in the next 1-2 weeks at the library. If you do not, this will affect your "standing" and your student account. You will also be ineligible to further participate in SRSS extracurricular activities |
RobinHood Auditions 2025-05-21 | Auditions for Robin Hood will take place on June 11th in the theatre. If you are interested in auditioning, you must sign-up for an audition time slot and pick up an audition package from the drama room door. Each year at the SRSS, students audition in June for the theatre production in December. We alternate between musicals and plays. Next year will be a play. |
Sabres Rugby Teams 2025-05-21 | Another Big Game Day at Maple Grove Rugby Park! Both Sabres rugby teams played incredibly well, and we are extremely proud of our tough and talented squads! The Varsity team came out strong and ended the night undefeated with a 3–0 record, dominating all of their opponents. Final scores were: 30–7 vs. Collège Jeanne-Sauvé 34–5 vs. Springfield Collegiate 32–10 vs. Dakota Collegiate It was a full team effort, with several players crossing the try line: Jaime Rempel – 1 try Madison Friesen – 1 try Rhea Douma – 2 tries Mirlande Kehler – 1 try Kyleen Garcia – 1 try, 3 converts Abigayle Rocchio – 2 tries Ciara O'Connor – 3 tries Zoe Bardal – 7 tries The JV team also had a strong showing, winning 2 out of 3 games: 20–5 win vs. Lorette Collegiate 20–17 win vs. Pembina Trails Collegiate 5–20 hard-fought loss vs. Murdoch MacKay Top try scorers for the JV squad were: Abigail Cuppage – 4 tries Mika Hayward – 2 tries Brandi Chabluk – 2 tries Next up: The girls will host their annual tournament at A.D. Penner Park this Friday, May 23rd. Games kick off at 9:00 AM and run throughout the day. Come cheer them on—and don't forget to grab a snack from the food trucks at the field! Go Sabres! |

Nominees must have demonstrated leadership, have volunteer experience, and have completed at least 5 academic subjects at the 40S level with an overall Gr. 12 average of at least 90% and not more than one mark lower than 80%.
